NucleoDx® 1M Tris HCl buffer is a commonly used buffer in biochemical and molecular biology experiments like protein purification, enzyme assays, and nucleic acid manipulation experiments. Tris is a common buffering agent that helps to maintain a stable pH in biological reactions. HCl (hydrochloric acid) is added to adjust the pH to the desired level. 1M Tris HCl buffer is available as a ready-to-use product with a pH range of 8 ± 0.2 at room temperature.

Tris hydrochloride is a stabilising buffer for biological applications and molecular biology to control the acidity and osmolarity of a solution. It is used to maintain a constant pH in solutions and helps keep enzymes active.

Tris HCl is also used to adjust the conductivity of solutions, such as in DNA electrophoresis. Additionally, it can be used for the adjustment of DNA hybridization conditions, such as DNA melting temperatures, to wash and resuspend cells during the cell culturing process.
