NucleoDx® Phosphate-Buffered Saline 1X buffer, usually known as PBS 1X buffer, is a typical buffer solution in biological and biochemical research. PBS is given ready-to-use as a pre-mixed liquid solution, avoiding the need for further preparation steps. It can be applied straight away as a reaction medium, a washing step, or a sample dilution. Saving time and ensuring consistent, repeatable results are both benefits of using a ready-to-use format.
The pH of the buffer is commonly set between 7.4 ± 0.1 which is similar to the physiological pH of many biological systems.
